The Communications Committee is developing and strengthening strategies to expand CanTYD’s publicity within the community. The Communications Committee translates information in both Tamil and English to ensure greater accessibility to information in the community. The committee also works with the finance committee to devise an accurate framework of CanTYD’s financial position and existing needs.

The Programming Committee works on strategies to capture existing workshop material for documenting future workshop ideas. The committee assesses youth development issues in the community to develop programming to address their needs. The committee is also developing a resource manual for the upcoming year.

The administration committee works on strategies to improve the overall CanTYD’s day to day administration and processes. The committee will work with board, staff and volunteers to identify and implement process improvements to be an efficient organization.

The Fundraising Committee aims to arrive at new and innovative methods of generating revenue and documenting these strategies for future use. The Fundraising Committee is planning a strategy for obtaining private sponsorships from community members. This committee is working with the communications teams to develop a sponsorship package.

The Finance Committee oversees the development of the budget to ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and accountability of funds. The committee also ensures adequate financial controls by reviewing major grants, sponsorship, donations and associated terms. The committee is implementing on-going review meetings with the Program Coordinator and Fundraising Committee to measure the needs of CanTYD’s program needs, and to project required funding and limitations.

The Human Resources Committee is responsible for staff recruitment, training and retention, reviewing programming and services, and counseling staff. The Human Resources Committee is currently reviewing bylaws and policy to address potential changes to CanTYD’s an organization structure.
